What areas of Alberta does Symphony serve?

We are based in Calgary and work throughout Calgary, Airdrie, Okotoks, Cochrane, Chestermere, Edmonton and surrounding Alberta communities. Larger construction and concrete programs can be mobilized further across the province.

Do you work with our architect and designer, or do you provide them?

Both. Many clients arrive with an architect and interior designer already engaged, and we integrate into that team. Others prefer our design-build path, where we assemble and coordinate the full consultant group under one agreement.

How do you handle budgets and change orders?

Pricing is transparent and itemized. Allowances are set with real supplier numbers rather than placeholders, and every change is documented, priced and approved in writing before work proceeds. You receive regular cost-to-complete reporting through the build.

How do clients stay informed during construction?

Every project is managed using modern digital project management systems, giving clients better visibility, documentation, communication and quality control throughout the project lifecycle — schedules, site photos, selections, approvals and cost updates in one organized record.

What is a realistic timeline for a custom home?

Accepted Answer

Design and permitting typically takes four to eight months depending on municipality and complexity. Construction of a custom home generally runs ten to sixteen months. We publish a milestone schedule before breaking ground and report against it.

Do you take on renovations, or only new builds?

Accepted Answer

We take on major renovations — full-home remodels, structural changes, additions and gut rebuilds. We generally do not take on small handyman-scale work, so that our crews and supervision stay committed to the projects we've promised.

Can you manage a property you didn't build?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our property management division works with owners across Alberta regardless of who built the asset, including single rentals, fourplexes, eightplexes and small portfolios.

Are you insured for municipal and indemnified work?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We carry full commercial general liability and WCB coverage, and we perform indemnified sidewalk and municipal restoration work to city specification with the required documentation and inspections.
